Vishala Pannala holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree
in the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad in 2008. She
is currently pursuing PhD degree at Speech and Vision Laboratory at
International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-H), under the
guidance of Prof. B. Yegnanarayana. Prior to joining PhD, she worked as a
Research Assistant and was an MS Research Scholar at the same place
during when she worked in developing speech based human-computer
interactive systems for Indian languages, specifically Telugu and in
building asterisk based real-time communication applications. During
this period she has also worked as teaching assistant at the institute. Her
research interests include: speech based human-computer interactive
systems, speech recognition, speech/nonspeech separation, desired speech
identification, intended speaker identification, digital speech
watermarking for anti-spoofing, similarities in speech patterns,
especially under practical degradations and real world scenarios. She
holds a Visvesvaraya PhD Scholarship, supported by Department Of
Electronics & Information Technology(DeitY), Ministry of
Communications and IT, Government of India. | |||
