PhD positions
Machine learning based analysis for spoken language forensics and informatics
Description: These positions are admitted through IIITH standing committee. Without comprimising on the PhD quality, the admission process can provide benefit to the applicants with the following in one or more ways contrast to the typical admission process.
No. of positions: 1 or 2
Duration: 4 - 5 years
Fellowship: As per institute/MHRD norms. Exceptional candidates may receive more than MHRD fellowship. In addition, tution fees are completely waived.

Selection procedure: The applicants with good academic record and strong motivation to pursue their PhD will be interacted. After interaction, exceptional candidates will be selected. The selected candidates require to join for internship in our group atleast for the period of three months before they enrolled for PhD.
Starting date: July 2021. By this date, the candidates are expected to done their internship in our group.

- 1) Have good commitment towards societally impactful work with a strong desire to pursue PhD with focussed areas in Machine Learning and Speech Signal Processing and want to avoid uncertainities to get these in the typical admission sceanarios.
- 2) Would like to spend more time on focussed subjects that you are interested and do not want to put efforts unnecessarily on generic subjects for clearing typical admission process.
- 3) Do not get through the typical admission process because lack of good GATE score due to other commitments and further do not wish to waste your time again for the preparation.
